Job Description:
Amergis Staffing is seeking a dedicated Correctional Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in Goldsboro, NC. In this role, you will provide healthcare services to individuals within a correctional facility setting. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care, strong clinical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Conduct health assessments and screenings of inmates/patients
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
Monitor patient progress and update medical records
Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care
Provide health education and counseling to patients as needed
Adhere to facility policies and procedures
Qualifications:
Valid RN license in the state of North Carolina
Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in a correctional or similar setting
Current CPR/BLS certification
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexibility to work a 36/48 rotation or 40 hours per week
